Richard Burright

President & Chief Executive Officer

Richard leads RedRover Software with a vision that every business user of spreadsheets and similar tools will benefit from RedRover’s characterization and integrity quantification technology.

Richard formerly served as Director, Operations at Hotmail, where he was also the company’s first non-founding employee. Instrumental in bringing Hotmail to market, Richard then ensured the company’s services would scale during its most extreme growth period, adding some 150,000 new users per day. After Microsoft’s acquisition of Hotmail, Richard co-founded and served as President at Akamba Corp. a producer of embedded systems that accelerated the performance of high traffic web servers by 300%. Prior to Hotmail and Akamba, Richard held positions working on Apple’s early Powerbook laptops, and then Apple’s Newton products.

Richard earned his BS degree at Oregon State University in 1992.

Jack Winter

Chief Financial Officer

John W. Jack Winter, Jr. is CFO and plays an integral role in the company’s formation and growth. As someone whose role depends upon financial integrity, Jack intimately understands the importance of error-free spreadsheets and recognizes the necessity of RedRover’s technology within every financial department.

Jack spent most of his business career with Arthur Andersen LLP where he most recently served as Managing Partner of Andersen’s Pacific Northwest Audit and Business Advisory practice and managed the firm’s offices in Boise, Portland and Seattle. After leaving Andersen in 1998, Jack has engaged in venture capital activities, served on the boards of a variety of business organizations, and owned and managed various entrepreneurial businesses.

Jack studied engineering and has a BS degree in Accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Howard J. Doherty, Jr.

Vice President, Sales

Mr. Doherty is responsible for worldwide sales and building distributor and reseller channels for RedRover products. He is an accomplished executive with domestic and international experience in sales, channel development, technology and ecosystem partnerships.

With more than 20 years of high-tech experience, Mr. Doherty has held several senior management positions at various companies that ranged from start-up to Fortune 100 status. Prior to joining RedRover, Mr. Doherty was vice president of worldwide sales and business development for Symphoniq. Here, he built a strong sales team, a detailed lead qualification process and a significant sales pipeline. Before Symphoniq, Mr. Doherty served as vice president of worldwide sales and business development at NetContinuum, where he created major revenue-generating OEM deals and doubled revenues year over year, growing the company’s international business to 50% of revenues.

Howard received his B.S. degree in Marketing from the University of Southern California.

Paul Shirkey

Vice President, Engineering

As vice president, engineering, Paul leads the technology development and innovation efforts for RedRover. Paul has been directly responsible for realizing much of the groundbreaking spreadsheet research OSU has contributed to RedRover for their spreadsheet error detection product, Detect.

Prior to joining RedRover software, Paul has contributed to a variety of creative technical projects, including developing the next generation silicon wafer planarization tool for Intel. Recently, he was part of the development team that designed and built a novel high-speed wood grain-angle sensor and was awarded a US Patent for this work.

Paul holds a M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois, and a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Oregon State University.

Diane Robinette

Vice President, Marketing

Diane brings more than 20 years of industry experience to her role as vice president of marketing for RedRover Software and is responsible for marketing and product management of RedRover Software’s growing product line.

Prior to RedRover Software, Diane held senior management positions at BroadVision, Contivo, Covigna, and Perfect Commerce where she successfully defined and launched numerous products into the marketplace. Her background also includes management positions at KPMG Consulting (now Bearing Point) and Ernst & Young (now Capgemini) where she guided her clients with strategic direction and strict methodologies. Diane is a regularly invited guest speaker and panelist for many marketing organizations.

With an emphasis in hardware and software, Diane holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from San Francisco State University.
